Voice Service in Bridge Mode

Our landline phone worked fine with the XB8 until I switched into bridge mode to use a Deco mesh system.  Now, the phone doesn't get a dial tone.  I have it connected to port 1 and have rebooted the XB8 several times.  Per multiple posts in this forum, voice should still work.  What is the solution?

Hello user_1kr18d this should still work. We can help run some troubleshooting to see what's going on since the reboots didn't restore it. Please send us a direct message with your full name and the service address to get started.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support: 
Click "Sign In" if necessary 
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging 
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon 
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there 
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list 
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line 
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window 
Press Enter to send it.
