Virtually no internet service for a week

My service at <Edited: Personal Information> has been intermittent and largely unusable for approximately one week. The automated response repeatedly says neighborhood network-enhancement work will be completed “within the day,” but that does not address the continuing multi-day disruption. Please provide the outage or maintenance-ticket number, the precise classification of the work, the scheduled completion date for the entire neighborhood project, the current field-operations ETA, and whether additional outages are expected after today. Please escalate this to plant maintenance or local field operations rather than simply performing modem resets.

Hello, @user_j2hwt8! Thanks for taking the time out of your day to reach out about your service. Sounds like some great work is taking place in your area! We see the same message you do regarding area interruptions or work. The team will get that completed as quickly as possible, no further steps are needed. I understand when it takes more than one day it can be frustrating to get through. It will be worth it once they are done so you get faster upload speeds. You can see more about our network enhancements here, https://www.xfinity.com/network

Thanks.  Please escalate.  My office needs more specific information than great things are happening.

FYI the service interrruption was unannounced making preparation impossible and is causing us to lose productivity as we work around the lack of service.  It will take five or six hundred years to make this up in fast download capability . . and counting.

I completely understand your frustration, and I am truly sorry for the unexpected disruption to your workday and productivity. We know how critical a reliable connection is when you are working, and failing to provide a heads-up only makes a difficult situation worse. While our faster download speeds are built to save you time in the long run, we know that does not help when you are experiencing an active interruption. We truly appreciate your feedback.

Thanks for the repeated empathetic comments, but none of them answer my questions.  You can - and should - apologize and make amends for unnecessary damage such as failing to notify customers of upcoming extended service interruption.  You can - and should - escalate this as requested in order to provide me, and others, with anticipated service restoration.  Empathy is meaningless when not accompanied by effective and responsive action.
