Utility Line Issues
This is my fifth attempt now to get someone to resolve an ongoing issue. My neighbors new cable line was ran through the right of way on my property, which is fine and this is not my issue. My issue that no one seems to understand is that it’s only 6 inches “deep” in jobsite fill and not the actually ground. This is on a new construction job site, above the grade and will be taken out AGAIN when the backfill is complete and the driveway is dug in as the cable is sitting above where the actual finished ground will be. What makes it even worse is your crew was digging around in my yard without an active locate! I don’t care how deep, the locate expired two weeks ago and there are no longer ANY longer markings. This is illegal and so dangerous, as you and your contractors should know; there are gas lines and electric lines in this area. They also unplugged our sump pumps on our property that are keeping our excavation site dry; this is also illegal - tampering with an active job site as it has nothing to do with running cable!
Other information: After our own locate to dig our house, our neighbors original line ran diagnoal across our lot - not even close to the Easement or right of way. It was hit after being told by Comcast that the line was inactive; turns out it was active.
I don’t want to be told to contact Comcast as this is my fifth and last attempt, as no one seems to care. Come back after a proper locate is done and is still active, and dig the utility line deeper. I don’t know why it’s so hard to get someone to care. Both contractors obviously didn’t care and I’m just trying to prevent disturbed service to my neighbor and prevent Comcast from having to keep coming back to fix the cut line.
Lastly, As a current Comcast customer, this has nothing to do with my current service address and no one seems to understand that either - from this terrible experience, I won’t be transferring my current service with the lack of care for customers and safety.
