Using Apple Watch in Barbados
If I use my Apple Watch in Barbados will there be additional charges or is my watch covered under my global travel pass?

Hello, @user_02b3s7! Thanks for creating this post about using your Apple Watch in Barbados. You've come to a great place for help because our Digital Care Team will always do whatever we can to find all the answers you need :) Based on what I've found with our Xfinity Mobile policies, the Global Travel Pass is designed for mobile phone lines and does not cover usage on smartwatches like the Apple Watch.
Here's a breakdown of how it works:
1. Global Travel Pass: This pass is for phone lines only and provides a flat daily rate for data usage in over 215 destinations.
2. Apple Watch Cellular Service: The cellular service on your Apple Watch counts as a separate line of service on your Xfinity Mobile account.
3. International Roaming: International roaming for data on smartwatches is not currently supported.
This means that while your paired iPhone can use the Global Travel Pass, your Apple Watch's cellular service will not work independently for roaming when you are in Barbados. Your watch will only be able to use a data connection via Bluetooth from your iPhone or through a Wi-Fi network.
To avoid unexpected charges and ensure you can use your devices, you should:
1. Use Wi-Fi: When in Barbados, you can connect your Apple Watch to Wi-Fi to use many of its features.
2. Keep your iPhone with you: Your Apple Watch will still function and receive calls, texts, and data when it is within Bluetooth range of your iPhone, which would be covered by your Global Travel Pass.
Please let us know if this helps! And if you have any other questions. We remain here to support you and your household to the best of our ability.
