Using a program and cannot connect.

Hello! Sorry to bother, but recently I have been trying to use a program on my personal computer, and it cannot seem to connect. I was told by their support that I would have to contact my ISP about it to have it fixed. Is there anything we can do? It needs a connection to actually work. I used a different program from the same people, and that used to work, but it doesn't anymore; neither of them has a connection now. Sadly, their support didn't exactly tell me what to say besides that, so if there is anything else needed, I will try.

Hello, @user_bb9214 thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums. I want to help investigate the program on the computer not working, and have a couple questions when you have time to answer.

- What program isn't connecting?
- Do you happen to lease a Xfinity gateway?

Our Xfinity gateways come with an advanced security feature, and when enabled can block programs that may be identified as a potential security threat: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/using-xfinity-xfi-advanced-security

Sorry for the late response, I do not lease an Xfinity gateway. And the program I was trying to use is not too well-known, so it may get flagged. It's DaVinci Resolve, a kind of video editor. There is another program that's also not connecting, which is called "Vannia".

Thank you for that information @user_bb9214. The best option for that type of issue may be to reach out to the customer security team at the https://spa.xfinity.com/help site to see if that can be resolved.

In this case you will want to file a ticket with the security team at https://spa.xfinity.com/help so they can investigate for you further.
