URGENT SAFETY ISSUE – Open Burial Work Order Near Propane Line
I am requesting immediate assistance from Xfinity management regarding an unresolved burial work order at my property.
My wife, Deborah, and I have contacted Xfinity numerous times and have repeatedly been told that the work order would be cancelled. The temporary cable has already been removed, yet the work order apparently remains open.
SAFETY CONCERN: The proposed excavation area is near a propane gas line. We have contacted Georgia 811 numerous times, and they have been very helpful in explaining the limitations of locating private utility lines.
During our most recent calls, Xfinity representatives told us they could not contact Mag Pro Excavating, the contractor assigned to the work order. We were told to wait another 48 hours. We find it unacceptable that Xfinity cannot apparently communicate with a contractor assigned to its own work order.
We have also contacted Miguel, the owner of Mag Pro Excavating, and left a detailed voicemail explaining the safety concern.
We are requesting:
1. An immediate safety hold on this work order.
2. Confirmation that no excavation will be performed at our property.
3. Cancellation and closure of the unnecessary burial work order.
4. Escalation to a manager responsible for construction work orders.
5. Written confirmation of the resolution.
We have contacted the Georgia Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division to file a complaint because repeated attempts to resolve this matter through normal customer service have failed.
This is a potential safety hazard, not simply a routine service complaint. Please have an Xfinity employee with the authority to resolve this matter contact us directly.
We can provide the work-order number and account information privately to an authorized Xfinity representative.
