URGENT: Corporate Escalation - Unfulfilled Technician Commitment & Service Failure - Escalation Regarding Hardware

Escalation Regarding Hardware Damage, Unfulfilled Technician Dispatch, and Request for Account Credits

Subject: URGENT: Weather-Damaged Equipment, False Support Assurances (Ticket #[Edited: "Personal Information"]), and Compensation Request –

To Corporate Executive Customer Relations / Office of the President:

I am writing to escalate a severe customer service failure following a complete disruption of my TV and internet services caused by a thunderstorm on Sunday, September 6, 2026, which fried my Xfinity modem.

I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years, always paying my bill on time and maintaining my account in good standing. I have always done my part as a customer, making the severe decline in service quality, misrepresentation, and lack of accountability deeply disappointing.

As a remote employee working 12-hour shifts, maintaining a reliable connection is non-negotiable. Paying nearly $400 per month for premium service makes the fabrications, delays, and poor customer service I experienced completely unacceptable.

Detailed Timeline of Events (Sunday, Sept 6 – Monday, Sept 7):

 * Hardware Failure: Following a thunderstorm on Sunday, September 6th, my Xfinity modem was damaged, resulting in a total loss of both internet and television services across my household for two full days.

 * Phone Support Assurances: On Monday, September 7th starting at 1:09 PM, I spent over 1 hour and 21 minutes on the phone with customer support. The representative issued Ticket #[Edited: "Personal Information"] and repeatedly assured me that a technician was scheduled to arrive that same day, September 7th, between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM.

 * Unannounced Cancellation: When I called a third time to confirm the technician's arrival status, I was informed that no appointment existed for September 7th and that the earliest available slot was pushed to September 14th—a seven-day delay that directly jeopardizes my employment.

 * Chat Support Contradictions: A subsequent chat session yielded conflicting information regarding corporate escalation contacts, where the representative initially claimed no access, then provided (215) 286-1700 while disclaiming its validity. This you should have records of since it was via text

 * Lack of Support & Forced 30-Mile Travel: The frontline representative showed zero effort to diagnose or resolve the issue. If your management team reviews the recorded call, you will hear that the initial associate was unhelpful and forced me to start the entire process over with a manager. It was only because I repeatedly questioned how to get this fixed faster that the manager finally agreed to an equipment swap. Because support failed to offer a direct technician dispatch, I was forced to drive over 30 miles to the Xfinity store in Orange Park to exchange the modem myself.

Requested Resolution & Credit Breakdown:

To resolve this matter, I am requesting the following specific credits and actions applied to my account:

 * Service Outage Credit: A direct pro-rated refund for the 2 full days of completely unusable internet and TV services starting Sunday, September 6th.

 * Inconvenience, Travel & Service Credit: A substantial bill credit to compensate for 20 years of loyal service being met with significant inconvenience, personal travel time/fuel costs to Orange Park, wasted working hours, fabricated dispatch confirmations under Ticket #[Edited: "Personal Information"], and poor customer service provided while paying a ~$400/month premium.

 * Internal Management Review: Formal escalation and investigation into the recorded phone call logs (starting at 1:09 PM on September 7th) and chat transcripts to hold the initial agent accountable for failing to offer solutions.

Please contact me directly at your earliest convenience to confirm the total credit applied to my account and ensure service stability moving forward.

Hello @brave2g Thanks for reaching out. I am very sorry to hear about your experience with the service loss. We can certainly help look into your requests for you. Just to catch myself up here, did swapping the modem at the store get the service working again and fully restore you?

We can certainly report the interactions for review without issue. For the additional credit outside the 2 days of service interruption how much are you looking to receive for the inconvenience?

Hello @XfinityMatthew

Thank you for following up so quickly.

Yes, exchanging the modem at the retail store in Orange Park did restore my internet and TV services.

Regarding the compensation for the severe inconvenience, false technician commitment (Ticket #[Edited: "Personal Information"]), and forced 60+ mile round-trip drive:

Given that my monthly bill is nearly $400/month and I lost work time during my 12-hour shifts due to misleading support information, I am requesting a $100 credit (or 1/4 of my monthly bill) applied to my account for the overall inconvenience, on top of the pro-rated credit for the 2 days of complete service outage.

I appreciate you reporting the interaction logs from my phone and chat sessions on September 7th for internal review. Please let me know once these credits have been applied to my account.

Thank you for your assistance in resolving this.
