Upload speeds

Yesterday I noticed my bill was going to increase almost double. I had the 800mb plan which gave me like 40mb upload. My plan was 65 bucks and was supposed to be for 3 years. I called and after reapeated frustrating attempts to tell the automated service I did not want to chat over text but talk to someone I finally got someone on the phone. He said he could get almost back to my 65 dollar plan, he upgraded me to the 1.2GB tier and told me this would get me about 100mb upload which was the only reason I agreed. This was also a week after I got an email from Xfinity saying that they just gave me a 75% upload speed increase for free which never actually worked either. I used to be a Comcast technician, so I know everything is hooked up right. After the email, I rebooted, still no upload increase, and after agreeing to go to a higher tier and pay more and the rep telling me I would bet at least 100mb upload, still no speed increase. Now I am paying more than I really wanted to, for sure a little more download speed which was something I really did not need, and still the same upload speed which was the only reason I agreed to upgrade. I honestly, would just like to be back on my 65 bucks a month plan for 800mb down. That was supposed to be a 3 year contract when I signed up. I also have the white xfinity gateway.
