Upload Speed on the Gigabit plan

So when I first signed onto Xfinity I could have swore my upload speed was 100Mbps. I bought the plan that 1000/100. Ever since I moved I notice my plan was set to 20Mbps upload speed. I have the xFi gateway XB8 modem and read you need the the Xfinity complete. Pretty sure I have that since I got the equipment from Xfinity. Am I correct that my upload speed changed. If so how do I get my upload speed back up to 100Mbps?

Sterkel18, Hi there! Thanks for taking the time out of your Monday to visit our forums page for help with seeing about your upload speed. I just upgraded my speed myself and would be wondering the same thing if my speed was slower than what I signed up for. We are the right place to go for help. When you first signed up, did you sign up for the faster upload speed at a different address?

When I first got Xfinity I had bought the plan with 100Mbps upload speed. I transferred my exact plan to a new address and brought the same Gateway with me (the XB8). No equipment changes and no plan changes just a straight service address change.

Sterkel18, Ah okay. Depending on where you moved, the faster upload speed may not be eligible at that address yet. In order to research this further, I will just need to pull up the account. To get started, please send us a direct message with your first/last name and full address. You can start by clicking the "direct message" icon on the upper right page of the forum page. Once you click on that, input our shared handle "Xfinity Support" to send us a direct message. If you're signed in to your forums profile and because you have already posted to the public page, you should have the option to do so.
