Upgrading the gateway for free

If I am on an essential plan, do i have to pay any additional costs for upgrading my gateway for free? And what gateway would i get if i upgrade for free?

user_8j2ixo Hello, I am happy to assist you with your gateway concern. If you are renting a modem you would not be charged more for upgrading. If the modem is also included in your plan it would not be more expensive to upgrade to the appropriate modem.
