Upgraded today - How long until we see the speed difference?

My husband and I upgraded today to the 800 MBPS plan (around noon today), and still we're only seeing 250 MBPS (9 PM). When should we expect to see the new speeds?

We've already gone ahead and reset the router/modem and whatnot, but not seeing any difference in the speeds.

... How long until we see the speed difference? ...

As long as the modem or gateway is rated for the new speed, you should have it as soon as the device finishes rebooting.

Hello, @AGam33. Thank you for your post, and I hope you are doing well today. I wanted to follow up on this since we haven't heard back. Once we upgrade your service, you should see your speed change right away. We may, at times, need to reset or provision the device if you don't see any updates. A big jump in speeds may also require an upgrade in equipment as well. Do you own your modem, or do you rent an Xfinity gateway? How is everything going so far? Are you finally getting the faster speeds? Please let us know if you need any further assistance. We are here to help.
