Upgraded Router and plan, upgrade hasn't taken effect

I upgraded my router this past week, and upgraded by plan from 150mbs to 500mbs. Xfinity online shows me being on the 500mbps plan, but I am still receiving the old speeds.

Hello, @user_f2wmqs sorry to hear you are not getting the speeds you upgraded to. Can you tell us how you performed that speed test? Was it hardwired to your modem or through Wi-Fi? What device did you use? Also, let us know what troubleshooting steps you've taken so far like power-cycling the modem. A lot of these steps are offered through the Xfinity App as well.

It was fixed on Xfinity's end after I chatted with a support agent through the app. Thank you for your help, but for xfinity overall, pushing people to and through the app is not good practice. Ton's of people don't have smartphones, and the inability to chat with a real person without the app is annoying.

We are glad you were able to resolve your issue through the Xfinity App's chat feature. It really is a handy tool for those who want to manage the account through their smart device.
