Unlimited
Im currently using an Arris modem that I own. I would like to switch to unlimited internet, and to do this, it looks like I need to pay for Comcast’s modem instead if I want this.
If I upgrade to unlimited, and start paying the extra, I am wondering if it is possible to put the Comcast modem into bridge mode. I work from home and need to use more data than I’m provided (currently 1TB) as well as remotely access my home network when I’m traveling. I already have a firewall that I use that sits between my existing modem and home networks.

@user_hs0xc1 Good morning, and Happy Friday! Thank you for taking the time to reach out to our Community Forums Team for assistance in getting unlimited data added to your account. To clarify, you can have unlimited data added to your account without having the Comcast modem. You can have your own modem, and still add unlimited data. In some cases depending on the promotions we are running, having our modem with an xFi Complete subscription can be a little less.
If you have your own router and it's compatible with our services, you can use the bridge mode function. So that I may access your account to get unlimited data added can you please send a Direct Message with your name, and service address?
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon at the top of the page (looks like a text bubble)
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
