Unexplained increase in Data Usage
I got my first ever "You're getting close to exceeding your Internet data plan" email. My data usage has doubled and tripled in the past 2 months. Yet nothing has changed in how I've use this service in years. I have one device, my computer. I don't use any streaming services or play games. I just use the internet. From an average monthly usage of 300 - 400 to jump last month to 600 and then to 1000 this month and climbing. Nothing has changed so why is my data usage suddenly increasing?

Normally, we'll ask if any new devices have been connected, such as cameras, new TVs, or tablets that require an internet connection. We also have to remember if we don't close our apps on mobile devices, and TVs they keep running updating. The same happens for programming such as YouTube.
