underground installation

How do you get cable run under a public road? New home with all electrical run underground from across the public road. There is a pole on opposite side of road that has cable going to it but currently no underground cable box. How is conduit under road done? If a new account is set up will they know it needs to go underground?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello @user_6802c9 Thanks for reaching to us to see about having an underground line ran. It most situations we will run our services with the existing utility services. In this case it seems like we would run underground as well. This would all be taken care of when your Xfinity services are installed. Like most things in life, there are factors that may prevent an underground line, but we would not know of those factors until the installation is set and the request to bury the line is created.

You can check here for more help with the process, so you know what you expect.

Do you currently have our service to your home from that pole? If so we would open a request to have the line buried and from there we will work with construction to have it completed.

@EG Thank you for your help and getting this post over to the right place!
