Under ground cable placement

Xfinity is scheduling an appointment for underground cable the technician said that they will need to go to the same location on the house. He said because of grounding if I prefer and it’s better location missing power and water lines can I put in a grounding rod at a new location this would be a shorter distance also missing other utilities.

I’m not looking for any schedule change just asking a question that can’t be answered by a computer and trying to talk to a real person is impossible.
