Unauthorized contractor digging on my property.

I used to have Xfinity internet, but cancelled the service weeks ago and turned in all my equipment.  Without notice or request, a Xfinity contractor showed up today and started digging a new line in my yard.  I have no idea why.  He cut my neighbor's fiber optic line as a result.  The contractor apparently missed my line, but I need to discuss with an Xfinity legal or management representative regarding follow-up actions.

user_1q095y, Hi there! Thanks for taking the time out of your day to visit our forums page for help with the digging on the property without notice. As a customer myself, I can understand the cause of concern. You've come to the right place to have this addressed. Over social media, we are a team of experts in resolving requests such as this. We can help. Normally for these types of scenarios, this happens due to our Easements Rights which is a public utility right of way that helps us maintain our equipment. Any easement that may exist on any property is always noted on the title report for that property. The title report is provided to the property owner at the time of the purchase by the title company. We also attempt to contact property owners prior to entering any backyard or private property. Even if we can’t make contact, we have the right to access the property to maintain our equipment for both Xfinity customers and non-Xfinity customers. Here is a helpful [link to more details](https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/easement-rights-policy). If you would like us to look into this further, we will be happy to do so. How does this sound?

I am quite knowledgeable of real property law and utility easements.  These contractors were not simply servicing existing lines or equipment, but were installing a new cable line directly to my home that wasn't requested and I don't have Xfinity service at this address.  They had entered my fenced in yard and were attempting to also connect the line to my house.  While digging a trench to lay the cable to my house, they cut my neighbors fiber optic line.  The contractors said Xfinity requested the work.
