Unable to connect to a live chat agent

When I select "Connect with a chat agent", it keeps saying "Got it. I'll put you in touch with a live agent now", but no live agent has contacted me for over an hour while I wait. 
I've been trying to contact a live agent for a week now, but nothing has been resolved until now.
