tv

my tv works on line with streaming but not regular tv; figured it was dead box but need to know if power source or box problem

Hello user_h9l1f6 thanks so much for reaching out here on our Xfinity Forums with these TV troubleshooting questions! When looking at what could be the source of an issue, there are certain things we'll look at- 

 

-Is the TV on the correct media input?

- Are connection cables secured properly? (not too loose, not too tight) 

-When on the cable box input, do we have picture/sound? 

if not, is there a colored screen(black, blue green, white) that you see? 

-Are you seeing any error codes or messages? 

If your cable box has an LED display, are you seeing an error code such as BOOT displayed?
