Trying to upgrade to unlimited data, getting error DFPLN4000.

I want to be able to keep my own equipment and need to upgrade to unlimited data and the website keeps giving me "https://www.xfinity.com/error/buy/sorry?errorCode=DFPLN4000"

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to actual Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello, @miked7775. Thanks for reaching out with the error you are getting when trying to add unlimited data. I have seen cases where the website will not allow you to add it when you own your own modem. I can get that added for you today and apologize you were not able to add it on your own. Please send us a direct chat message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send your message

@XfinityRay I'm also unable to activate unlimited data for my household, and have my own modem.

Hello @user_687a92 and thank you for reaching out over our Community Forum page. I would be happy to help get unlimited data added to your account. Before we get started could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? Our team can most definitely take a further look at this issue.

To send a "Peer to peer" ("Private") message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it

I no longer work for Comcast.
