trying to report tv outage

How do I report an outage. I tried calling comcast and have been cut off/hung up on 7 times. The stupid automated system tells me what to do then hangs up on me. My tv cable service is going on and off sporadically for about 10 minutes. Tried using the app also with no success. Now the service seems to be OK but customer service is a joke.

Sometimes there will be technical issues with the cable system in your area. Unless its something, such as complete loss of service for say, many hours its not going to be reviewed as a total outage but more likely a temporary problem that they are trying to resolve. A few calls ususally can warrant techs online and over chat telling you to reset this , yada yada yada and when it does not work then you can schedule a tech to view your issue at your leisure and often a service fee. 

Hopefully its still working now as of my reply. But do post back if you encounter more issues as Xfinity Staff can help you here as well. If you consider your issue resolved, consider marking my post as the accepted solution but also do come back if the issue persists.

It is OK now but the problem with the automated system is that it continued to instruct the customer to do the same thing over and over and over again. It does not recognize that what it is telling the customer to do has already been done numerous times. It is a useless time consuming cycle that does nothing to correct the problem.
