Trying to cancel internet service

My husband and I have been trying for over three months to get our internet service canceled and yet we keep getting billed. I have canceled the autopay and removed my banking information so that Xfinity cannot keep taking money from my bank account after telling me they will cancel our service. However, I don't want anyone coming after me for not paying our bill. So, can anyone please help me cancel our service? We have called on two separate occasions, sat on hold for over an hour, and spoke to someone who told us it would be canceled, but we did not get a confirmation number or email to support this. We also went online twice and requested a call back to cancel service but never received the call. There are no Xfinity stores near my home, so I am trying to avoid having to make the drive somewhere to deal with this. This is ridiculous.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@user_07p571 Thank you for making us aware of this autopay concern. I would be more than happy to sort everything out for you. Please send a direct message by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, click on the pen and paper icon, then enter “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section.
