Troubleshooting modem

My modem is flashing orange currently.

We just went through the hurricane and I know some people locally have Internet and I just want to check and make sure it's not the modem.

The outage map doesn't show me anything with information of outages so that is why I'm questioning that.

I am not trying to rush any work to be done, just want to troubleshoot and make sure it's not on my end of things before it gets too late in the day.

If you're having trouble connecting to the internet, you can try these steps:
Ensure that all cable connections are secure.
Reboot the modem.

The Xfinity app works great to troubleshoot too!
