Triple Play

Triple Play includes a "TV Box." What is a TV Box?

Thanks. That's what I thought. My concern is that the " Preferred Triple Play" package says it includes a "TV Box." However, Comcast is also charging an additional $10 for the DVR; it they're the same thing, I'm being double charged. There's no link that I can find to dispute the billing.

In order to get any digital signal (basically any siginal from your cable connection) it's digital.  So you need a ($$$) box to convert it to your TV.  You have 3 TVs... need 3 boxes.  This is also to prevent stealing the cable siginal as every box has to have an IP address.  Comcast records your IP address and adds what items you are paying to watch. I don't even think it's a DVR anymore. That's all in the cloud.  You can talk to the box and record stuff when away from home, record shows very easily with the BOX.  You can go back to the beginning of the show with the BOX if you miss the first few minutes, or record a show and half way through the show play it back and FF through the many commercials and usually have the show end when the live show stops.  Yes, the box keeps recording the show already in progress.
So that's what the "BOX" is for.

That’s a correct charge unless you didn’t want dvr service
