Tree took out power line

A tree fell on the power line outside of my house and the power company cleared the debris and established power back to my house but now we have no internet connection. We took the router in and had it replaced but I cannot set up the new one because it is blinking orange and will not connect to the internet. I believe that the tree may have damaged the line for our internet connection but Xfinity says they do not sense an outage on their end. I need WIFI back up as soon as possible and want to know if there is anything I can do to speed up this process? They informed me they scheduled a technician to service my router in a few days but I don’t think the router is the issue since we just got a new one.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

I'm so glad to hear that you and your family are safe, and hopefully, there wasn't any major damage to your home from that tree @user_ccd2ha! Since you already have a technician scheduled, you are in good hands and will be good to go.
Even if the ticket mentions the router, our technicians always investigate the lines outside your home if the issue is unrelated to equipment. Are you able to sign in to the Xfinity app right now to confirm that your appointment was successfully scheduled?
