Tree on overhead fiber optic cable

A tree is impacting the overhead fiber optic cable (not the power line), and it will break/destroy the overhead line and cause an outage very soon. The tree (which is NOT on my property or any of my neighbors properties, and looks to be dead) needs to be removed to prevent an internet outage. This is in the Katy, Texas area (Fort Bend/Harris county, zipcode 77494). What do I need to do to resolve this potential damage/outage issue?

Comcast doesn't do tree removal.  Since the tree in question is not on your property or your neighbors' property I suggest you get with your city and tell them about it.  Or call the electric company and tell them.

user_o80jku Good morning! Thank you for reaching out to our Xfinity Community Forums Team regarding the concerns of the tree status. I'd be happy to help you get in the right direction. You mentioned the tree is not on your property, or any of your neighbors, may I ask what type of property it's on?
