Tree branches

Xfinity came by yesterday to what looked like power line repair. As they trimmed branches they let a lot of them fall directly on my property and didn’t pick them up. Some loose branches are just hanging on my trees and it looks like a mess

Good evening @StephenBarros, and thank you for reaching out on our Community Forums. We’re sorry to hear that some tree branches may have fallen into your yard, and we’re happy to pass along your feedback.

For branch removal, you would need to hire a private tree-trimming or landscaping service, as Xfinity does not remove or trim tree branches from your property unless they are directly contacting or damaging our cable lines or equipment. Our teams are responsible for maintaining only Comcast-owned lines and infrastructure, while routine yard maintenance and debris removal remain the responsibility of the property owner.

Please let us know if you notice any branches affecting your service lines.

This does apply to you Xfinity because that mess wasn’t there before. The mess was a direct result of your team tending to cable lines or equipment then cutting branches and leaving them behind. They should be responsible for cleaning up after themselves.

We appreciate your feedback and are happy to share it with our team @StephenBarros.

You can also submit feedback directly through our website here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/svp-contact-form.

However, we do want to set the expectation that we do not clear branches unless they are actively bringing down the service wire or impacting service.
