Transition to Yahoo email?

How would I know if I received the email saying I needed to transition from Comcast email to Yahoo email? I may have accidentally deleted or it went to SPAM email? Is there a way to check?

... I may have accidentally deleted ...

You don't need an email. Instead, log in to https://xfinityconnect.email.comcast.net/emailMigration. If the account you logged in with is ready to be migrated, that page will say:

You're invited to upgrade your email account to Yahoo Mail ...

If the ID has already been migrated, the page will say:

Your Comcast.net email account is accessible at Yahoo Mail ...

@XfinityJoe I have all the information you suggested since last Aug, plus keep up with this; waiting and wondering if I have missed it myself. I have even gone to Yahoo to see if my accounts were created. Still wondering

@BruceW And the third response is "no" response. I have had this link since last year as well. But still wonder, especially since I was told there is no contingencies if by chance one is never notified.

Thank you for your time,

mar_913 Just to clarify, did you ever receive an email with the directions to migrate to Yahoo? I also want to make sure you know that while it is recommended, it is not required for you to migrate to the Yahoo platform.

@XfinityBillie No, I have not seen any indication nor an email to migrate, and I still log in several times a week. "It is recommended, not required" anything else with that statement not mentioned? The previous information I got from "Upgrade your Comcast.net email experience to Yahoo Mail". Does any of the below information still apply?

Xfinity is discontinuing older versions of its email in 2025, inviting users to upgrade to the Yahoo Mail platform,

you will get an initial official email telling you about the transition.  Then, about 30 days later you will get another email with Yahoo's Terms of Service and they Privacy statement.  If you agree to those your comcast.net will transition to the yahoo.com platform where you will log in with your comcast.net credentials.  If you fail to do this, you will lose access to your comcast.net email.  "Eventually" just means that if you don't transition to Yahoo! Mail, at some point [probably rather quickly] you will no longer be able to sign in to your comcast.net email from connect.xfinity.com and you will have lost your comcast.net email address.

@XfinityBillie

  1. why is it recommended?
  2. can you guarantee we won't loose access to our email if we don't migrate? or will we?
  3. is comcast/Xfinity no longer hosting email?
  4. previously, the rollout was until June 2026, now its just 2026? meaning through the year?
  5. I have a lot of work items attached to two of my emails and would not want to loose the accounts.

Thank you for your time,

I appreciate the confirmation and am happy to provide clarification regarding the questions you laid out. Some benefits of migrating to Yahoo's email servers include enhanced security features and improved spam protection, access to a built-in calendar and AI-powered inbox organization, and increased storage capacity of 20 GB 👍

While the rollout and transition invites are expected to continue throughout 2026, you can rest assured that this move is not a requirement by any means, and you may continue to use our native Xfinity email client at connect.xfinity.com if that's your preference. Please let me know if you have any additional questions!

If you are having trouble with Apple email apps I can't help because I'm not at all familiar with them. And I'm not an employee so I can't check anything on the Comcast/Xfinity side. Sorry!
