transferring rental equipment to a new user?

Is it possible to transfer rented modem/router equipment to a new user? They want to start their own new account but they are moving into a location where the rented equipment is still operational.

Hi there @user_15c182! Thank you for reaching out to us here via our Forums platform. Normally, a new customer would have to get new equipment for their own account. If the location where the equipment is currently active part of a community/HOA that has video/internet services included in fees, there usually do have equipment already there ready to use. 

 

If this is a normal residential location, the new account holder's would have to get new equipment and the old tenant must turn in equipment to avoid unreturned equipment fees. Please let us know if you have any other questions we may be able to help with.
