Transferring account to roommate and starting new service

I currently live with a roommate and am moving out of the current location before the end of our lease. I need to transfer the current plan to them so that I can start service at my new address without either of us losing internet connection. I can’t seem to get a real person on the phone and none of the FAQs or Xfinity Assistant have been any help.

lexieberrett Hey there. To confirm, you would like your roommate to take over your service at your current address, then start new services at a different address that you are moving to?

yes! they would only be taking it over for a month before the lease is up and then they would need to close it, but they would not be moving out until the end of June, whereas I’m moving to my new address June 1.
