Transferring a modem to a different account.
My roommate plans to make a new Xfinity account to take advantage of new customer deals and cover the internet. I would need to remove my 3rd party modem from my account so that they could add it to their account. Am I able to handle this process through the direct messaging portal with Xfinity Support?

Hey jacobw12345, thanks for reaching out to Xfinity Support on our forums. We can certainly help get the modem removed from your account. If they authorize you on their account, we can also move it to the account so it can be activated for you. When you're ready, can you send us a direct message?
To send a direct message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct messaging" icon near the top right of the page
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it
