Transferred service, same router, devices connect, no internet

Hi, I know this had been addressed, but I'm hoping to activate direct messaging.

Moved to a new place, transferred service & kept the old equipment. Plugged it in, seems happy, devices connect automatically. Connected without internet. Rebooted everything, still no luck.

Cell service is dodgy out here, so we really need our Wi-Fi! Thanks much.

The concern is not "Community Center" help related............ Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_oo55uq Thanks for submitting a post, and to @EG for redirecting it to our team. We can help look into the account and signal health to see why the modem isn't connecting properly. We will need to move to a DM so we can gather more info, but I appreciate you trying a few troubleshooting steps already. Please send our team a direct message with your full name and address.

To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forum's page.

Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
  • Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "to" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
