Transfer/move service address
I had never considered Xfinity until the day I realized it was a better deal than ATT. From that day I had really good experience with the internet connection, the perks and the customer service. Up until about two weeks ago. When I requested a transfer/move of service everything went down hill and still going to this moment. First they ask you about the new address you’re moving to see if there is service @ the new address, however this is where all went wrong: the app prompted me to pick a plan, in this case I picked the one I knew I had without knowing that this would be a totally new plan and that all 3 streaming apps I was getting for free through Xfinity would no longer be in that new plan. After all, I was just requesting a transfer/move and not an upgrade. Without me not knowing this I agree to the terms and set up a service appointment for a tech to go install the new equipment at my new house. The day of the install came and the tech tells me that he cannot install the modem where I want it in the house because they buried the line on wrong side of the house. He tells me he’s gonna call the team in charge of that so they can go and put a new line. I get a msg two days later that they went and did it, I texted with the tech that had gone to my house to install the equipment and after sharing some pictures of the front of the house he tells me that the line had not been buried yet. By this time there was another service appointment already scheduled. Seven days later a new tech shows up at the time I scheduled it and tells me he’s there to fix my internet issues. He ask to see the equipment I tell him that I don’t have anything because the previous tech couldn’t do it and explained why, he tells me he can do it and does a good job in about 40 min. This makes me upset because we had to wait 8 days for internet only because the other tech was lazy and didn’t want to do the extra work. Now I have internet but for some reason the streaming apps that up to this moment I’m thinking I still have through Xfinity are not showing active. Also the xfinity app still shows that I still have a transfer/moving request open. I call Xfinity two days later to ask about my streaming apps and that’s where they tell me that I picked a new plan when I did the transfer. This made me very upset because the only reason I had picked Xfinity over the other company that was cheaper to begin with was because they did not offer streaming apps for free like Xfinity had done it. They did not honor my previous plan I had and said I picked the new plan and that it had been too long to try to reopen my old internet plan. So at this point I only have peacock. All thanks to the lazy tech. Two more days past and the peacock app still not working. They told me they were gonna close my account and reopen it so they can just redo it all over again. I agree to that just for them to tell after they disconnected my internet, that, they cannot activate my internet because a tech needs to come to install the equipment. By this time I had already talk to 5 different reps and told all of them that the equipment was already installed at my house. Now I’m without internet until a tech comes to my house for the 3rd time to do god knows what! No savings, no apps, no internet, their big lack of communications between departments is impressive. My issue still not resolved

Hello @user_jen1o4, Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your day to leave a post on our community forum, and we would be happy to help. I will need to pull up your account to investigate this further. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you. Click "Sign In" (If necessary). Click the "Direct Messaging" Icon. Click the "Start New Conversation" (pencil and paper) icon. In the “To:” line, type "Xfinity Support". As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window. Press Enter to send it. How to: Direct Message Within The Forum.
