transfer xfinity membership tier

I recently cancelled my internet service when I moved in with my wife. When I called customer service to cancel my service, and in discussing the move, the representative mentioned I could transfer my rewards status to my wife (since I had platinum tier and she has gold tier) to get a better deal on [her] current internet plan.

Please let me know if this is possible and what options we may have.

user_m3uvgl Thank you for posting on our community forum so we can answer your questions about your Xfinity Membership tier: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-membership. If you transferred your service under your name to the home with your wife, you could maintain your Membership tier, but we can't transfer your tier to an account under a different name.
Did you know that she is eligible for the Platinum tier if she's been a customer for over 5 years, or she subscribes to three qualifying services? What service(s) does she currently have with us?

I believe she's been a customer for 3 or 4 years, while I was with xfinity for 6 or 7. We currently only have internet, under her account. If I cannot transfer the membership tier to her account, could I simply transfer our internet plan to my account to reactivate the platinum status?

The Xfinity Membership tier will always reflect the specific customer whose name is on the account only. If that same customer transfers services between locations or otherwise, they can always take their membership tier with them and retain it in full as long as it's in the same name 👍
