Hey, @chicoiner8! Thank you for creating a post with your question about transferring service. You've come to the right place for help :) We'll always do our best to provide the information you need while also helping in any other way possible. Check out our Xfinity Moving - Transfer Your Xfinity Service article for more details, and please let us know if that helps.

@XfinitySara  you did not answer my question! This is a temporary transfer for 3 months! Yes or no?

My apologies @chicoiner8! Since it is out of state we would recommend starting a new account at the new location as it would not transfer. What we can check for you, and I would recommend this, is to have your location check availability for seasonal suspend for those 90 days while you have the temporary service at the other location.

For the location where you want the service for 3 months, we can make sure to find a plan without a contract so that you can have the service active throughout the time you need it.

To check availability please make sure to send us a direct message with your full name and the current and temporary address to get started.

To send us a direct message:

  • Make sure you are signed in here in the Xfinity Forum. Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Message" icon (square chat icon in the upper right corner of your screen next to the bell icon)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it
