Transfer Cable Model to New Account

My wife is planning to set up a new Xfinity Internet account while I will cancel mine (for reimbursement purpose, we need it under her name).

We are using our own cable model.

I heard I need to send a DM to remove the cable model from my account, how should I proceed?

Also, will there be any gap in service if she sets up her account before my service ends?

@user_d4selw The best way to avoid extra hassle and going through the motion of setting up another account and potentially being down while the equipment is moved over, you can fill out an Account Change Request Form that we can send to you which changes the ownership of the account. You're both emailed a form to fill out and once we receive both forms back you'll get a confirmation email stating it was changed shortly afterward. Typically modems take 24-48 to be removed from accounts through the automated process once it's been requested. If you could please send me a DM with your first and last name along with your full-service address, we can get started on assisting you.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://comca.st/3EqVMu7
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
