Transfer account ownership to roommate

I'd like to transfer account ownership to roommate and this has felt impossible to get any direct action or answers on. I'm moving out and will not be carrying the internet plan with me as I'm moving in with my partner who has a plan of their own. How do I transfer the ownership of my xfinity plan so there isnt a lapse in coverage at my old house?

Greetings, user_gzl50z! Congratulations on moving in with your partner! I hope your move is an easy one! This link shows more about our transfer or ownership process, https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/account-ownership-change. We put in an Account Change Request ticket for you. From there, you get an email with the documentation we need you and the new account holder to fill out. There will be a secure link to upload your documents contained in the email. Once you have that sent back, the team is able to make the change to your account. 

 

Please send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the direct messaging icon located at the top right of this forums page.

 

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send your message
