Timeline for external wiring problem

There was a service done by Xfinity yesterday near our house. Since then, there is no internet. A technician visited our house today and mentioned that the problem is with the wire from the box to our house. He said he will raise a ticket but I did not get any message. He did not mention any timeline as well. Now I am not sure what to do? Should I move to different service provider if they have different line which is not affected? We work from home majority of time which is severely impacted.
