"this number is no longer in service"??

Hi. In my post I mentioned it’s for Xfinity Voice landline. I very recently ported the number from another provider to yours. The problem started almost immediately.

I paid for one of your technicians to come to my apt to set it up correctly. Since then, I’ve  reset the router and the phone several times, and checked the plugs several times. I can make calls and the people I call say my caller ID shows up, but nobody can reach me. They get various messages that the number is no longer in service.
