This company does not care about their customers

I am a remote worker, and my internet was working perfectly fine last night. This morning, my service suddenly stopped working and would not reconnect.

I spent hours troubleshooting the issue on my own, following every step that Xfinity instructed me to take. I then went to the Xfinity store and exchanged my modem—not once, but twice—and I still have no internet connection. At this point, it is clear that the problem is not with my equipment or anything inside my home. This appears to be an issue with Xfinity’s outside lines or infrastructure.

Despite explaining that I work remotely and could lose my job without internet access, I was told the earliest available technician appointment is Thursday. I asked for my case to be escalated or for an emergency appointment due to the serious impact this outage is having on my livelihood, but my requests were refused.

It is extremely disappointing that Xfinity is unwilling to make any effort to help customers whose income depends on their service. Reliable internet is not a luxury for many of us—it is how we earn a living, pay our bills, and support our families. The lack of urgency and empathy shown in this situation is unacceptable.

I am asking Xfinity to immediately escalate my case and provide the earliest possible technician appointment. Customers should not be placed in a position where they risk losing their jobs because their internet provider is unwilling to address what appears to be an issue with its own network.

Hello @user_gfa8cm! I appreciate you posting on our Xfinity Community Forum. Thank you for sharing your experience. I can certainly understand how frustrating it would be to lose your connection unexpectedly, especially when you rely on your internet service to work from home. We also appreciate the time you've already spent troubleshooting and exchanging the modem in an effort to resolve the issue.

Have you had an opportunity to check our Status Center and Outage Map to see if any service interruptions have been reported in your area?

When you sign in to the Xfinity app, what does it show regarding the status of your internet connection? We'd also be interested to know whether you've already worked through the steps outlined in our Internet Connectivity Troubleshooting Guide.

Let us know what you're seeing, and we'll continue working with you from there.

There are no outages in my area I checked and the 3 people I talked to on the phone also checked. I have all my ducks in a row and did everything I could and now I am told to wait till Thursday for a technician, I could lose my job by then, there really should be emergency appointments in place since I am paying for a service and now I am not receiving the service.
