There’s An Outage in Your Area

Hi there,
We are new Xfinity customers since December 5 and have experienced two neighborhood outages. First on December 22 (10:34AM) and second on December 30 (2:10PM). Both happened while on work calls and I saw the router light turn from white to (blinking) orange to red. Also checked the Xfinity app, where I saw the outage message. What caused these outages and how can they be prevented?

We’ve been very happy with our overall Xfinity experience so far, and hope to take preventative steps to ensure continuity in service. Especially as we work from home and host virtual schooling for our kids.
