There is an orange cable in my yard

There is an orange cable set up by Xfinity that is exposed and running across my front lawn, sidewalk, and driveway. This is a safety concern. It has been over 4 weeks since this orange cable has been left exposed. Xfinity states that the orange cable burial is to be complete within 10 business days, which is very overdue. The 1st ticket request was auto-canceled and the 2nd ticket request was closed as complete, but no one came to bury the orange cable that continues to be exposed. There was also no communication to the customer about these tickets being canceled or closed. Please come bury the orange cable immediately. Again, this is a safety issue and has been very frustrating to deal with.

Thank you for reaching out. This sounds like a temporary drop line, the process generally takes up to 14 business days from the date the line is placed but there can be delays. You can find the process here:

Have the utilities been marked?

It’s supposed to take up to 14 business days, but it’s been 22 business days (4 weeks). Please stop canceling and closing tickets without any communication and come bury the orange cable within the next week. The cable is all over my front lawn, sidewalk, driveway, and spilling over on my neighbor’s front lawn.

@user_dc33c3   There can be delays, though it's not very common. Are the utility lines marked on your yard?

As @XfinityShan has asked, have you had the utilities in your yard marked,  yet?  And if you have a sprinkler system that needs to be marked as well.  If this isn't done, when the temp cable is replaced and then buried you could find some of your utilities cut.  Call 811 [in most states] and request they come mark them.  It will save you time and headaches in the long run.
