Text said service restored but it wasn’t

Text said internet service was restored. But really wasn’t. Why did I receive that text?  And I hope techs are still working to resolve our outage?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

I am having same problems getting text saying service is restored when is not.  I try contacting Xfinity but the stupid AI says I can trouble shoot issues with live agent when service is restored!  Why is it so hard to speak with a real person????

robfield,

Thank you for reaching out. We are a full-service team dedicated to all things Xfinity. No matter the concern, you have a great group of specialists ready to help. I see your network has been down, and you wanted to get more updates after a text stated that the service was up. I rely on my network daily, so I know what a headache it can be when service is down. We appreciate all your patience so far.

The Xfinity App is also a great way to stay informed regarding any issues occurring in the area. You can check for updates and even set up text alerts by texting “OUT” to 266278 to check for any issues in the area, which is really helpful and something I personally rely on for situations like this.

The Status Page online will also allow you to enter your address to monitor potential issues in the area. As you can read here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/check-service-outage, you can also request credits linked to this interruption all in one place. We are still waiting for services to be restored in the area, but I'm confident our techs are doing all they can.
