Technician running cable up through the basement

I've tried to phrase this differently, but can't find a solid answer. I know where the cable comes into my house, but it's in the basement and I need it to be run up into my office and connect the gateway directly to my laptop via ethernet. I have a technician coming to set up service on Sunday. Are they able to drill the floor to run the coaxial up through? I'm not sure how to do this on my own.

Hi there, I hope your day is going well. Thank you so much for reaching out to us regarding your concern of running the cable through the floor of your basement to your room were you need the modem at. Now I am not a field technician, so I would not be able to answer that question for you. You would need to ask the technician if they can drill and run the cable the way you want. They will be able to tell you if it is do-able or not.
