Technician Appointment Updated to 6 hour window??

I had an appointment for someone to come to my house and fix my internet which has been out for 3 days now. I made an appointment for the earliest time which was 2 days later at 10-12 pm. I wait until 11:30 when I get a text saying the appointment is now 2-4pm.  That’s A. Unacceptable. B. People have jobs! Jobs they take off time from so they can be home AT THE SCHEDULED TIME. 10am-4pm is a 6 HOUR window. That’s practically the whole work day. How is this acceptable? If *I’M* expected to be home from 10-12 for an appointment SO ARE YOU. Be on time! Now I’m worried no one is gonna show at all as it’s 2:40 and the guy shows no sign of showing up. Xfinity does NOT honor its appointment times. I’m losing money on this and I’m wasting both time and cellular data to keep calling tech support asking why no one is here when I HAD AN APPOINTMENT. What’s the point of having an appointment if no one shows up?!

Hello, @user_3udnq6. If you have the great Xfinity App, you can log in and check on the status of the technician as sometimes there are delays from their previous jobs: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-my-account-app-manage-appointments.

You can also set up to receive text alerts, I have them set up and have received notifications/alerts about appointments. There are also the great options to set up other alerts like data usage, billing and payments, and if service interruptions: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/comcast-alerts.

I am an Official Xfinity Employee.
Official Employees are from multiple teams within Xfinity: CARE, Product, Leadership.
We ask that you post publicly so people with similar questions may benefit from the conversation.
