I just received an email from xfinity saying that I need to upgrade my modem for faster upload speeds. What is my current upload speed and will an upgrade in modem make any difference?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@user_aa50r4 If you're currently using your own modem and have had your area upgraded to our mid-split, you'll want to ensure your modem is in the Next Gen Speed Tier table at the top of the .pdf file. If your modem is listed in any of the other tables, it will not be able to receive faster upload speeds. Unless you are sending massive files or hosting a server from home, most of our customers will not notice a difference in their service with the faster upload speeds as the typical user is mainly downloading rather than uploading.
To find your subscribed Xfinity Internet speed tier, login to your Xfinity account online, go to the "My Account" section, and check your current service plan details; your subscribed download speed will be listed there; you can also access this information through the Xfinity app or by reviewing your latest billing statement.
