Tech visit

Today Xfinity Internet was down as they were working on the lines in my area. It was down for about 2 hours. When it came back online a few hours later I received an email from Xfinity that I needed to schedule a tech visit at not cost to me to improve my home Internet. Is this common?

@KristopherK Thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Forums. Yes, we do send messages to our customers by both email and text depending on how you have your communication preferences set up for your account. I would be happy to review your account and schedule that appointment with you if it has not already been done. To get started, please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address.

To send a "Direct Message" message:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon at the top of the page (looks like a text bubble)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it
