Tech support link for SSN and DoB?

Hello. I had a tech support chat today with Shumbam regarding Home Security issues. He was able to walk me through and fixed the problem. Then I was offered a free $300 Apple watch for being a Platimum member. To verify the order, he sent me a link at https://iguard-po-1pp.slb.comcast.com:9443/ui?ChViAp4HpdUhyvmNpt3atj to verify with my SSN and DoB, which I did. I didn't think much about it the because it was from Xfinity tech support that had my account name/info at the top of the fill box. But looking back, maybe it was terrible a mistake. I'm very worried that it was a phishing scam. I need someone in the know if this is a normal practice from Xfinity for verification. Please help! Thank you!

I am so glad our team was able to resolve your Home Security issues, but I completely understand why your heart dropped after looking back at that link. That website is an official Xfinity internal portal used for secure order verification, so you can breathe a huge sigh of relief! It is standard verify sensitive information like a Social Security Number when processing Mobile orders. Because we take your privacy seriously, our agents cannot see the data you type into that box. 

To give you total peace of mind, I recommend checking your Xfinity Account Activity to confirm the order was placed, or you can visit the Xfinity Membership Dashboard to see the specific details of the Apple Watch offer you claimed. 

Since you mentioned you've already filled it out, have you received a confirmation email with an order number yet bisaya?

Thank you for the fast response XfinityQuemekia. I was told that since I have an Android phone from Xfinity, that the Apple watch could not be ordered. He offered a Galaxy watch instead, but there was some type of error when he tried to order the watch. So I was provide a number to call and order the watch with a live agent instead. The watch is less of an importance to me than the security concern with the ssn and dob I had earlier. Thank you for your reassurance!
