Teacher & Promotional Discount

My promotional discount is ending on 12/14/23. I called customer service today (12/9/23) to see if there are any other promotions going on. I was told that I must call back on the 14th to find out. I tried to ask about a teacher discount (to find out if there is one), and again I was told I needed to call back on the 14th. Is there a way to find out about discounts than just calling back on the 14th? Also, I am a Diamond Member for my Rewards.

Hello, @Dimi. Thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums for support, you have contacted the right place for assistance in regard to looking at promotions. I definitely want to help answer any questions you may have.

 

Researching I found an old article on our website: https://corporate.comcast.com/press/releases/new-xfinity-offering-help-educators-stay-connected-this-fall. The article was dated August 2020, and the website: www.xfinity.com/teacher is no longer vaild and directs me to our regular website. 

 

While I was on our website, I did find that we now have student offers. Which require school information to be provided. If you have time you can visit this website, put in your address, then fill out the form with school information: https://www.xfinity.com/student. 

 

If you have served in the military we do have a program for our amazing active or retired veteran military members: https://military.xfinity.com/.

I did call today (12/14/23) since my discount was expiring today. I was told I could not get a discount unless I get an iPad from Xfinity Mobile. Free iPad with cell service (1 GB) would be my discount, and my bill total would not change. Waiting to see the pricing before I agree. Also, no teacher/student discount that I could get.

All set, was surprised that discounts are no longer available to lower rates with the same plan, per the person I talked to. Only option was to go with a cheaper plan, which now is having me look at other companies for similar services.

@dimi007​ Sad the support who responded couldn't at least pass the feedback on to the team that it should be directed to. I as a teacher would love an internet discount. Great question! Thanks for asking :)
