Target Scam - need Customer Service!!!!

I am incredibly frustrated with Xfinity. I recently fell for a scam and paid $780 in Targeting gift cards to some scammers because I was trying to negotiate a decreased monthly payment.

I was trying to negotiate a decreased monthly payment because Xfinity arbitrarily increased my monthly bill WITHOUT ANY NOTICE OR COMMUNICATION outside of a posted bill with an increased amount. Additionally, I have found it exceedingly difficult to reach any REAL customer service rep, as they are using AI for all customer service.

I fell for the scam because the scammers had information on the card I was using to pay for my internet, my email, and my home address. Additionally, they were able to post a payment to my account!!!! I have 2 factor authentication enabled, so I have no idea how they did that.

I would love to speak with an Xfinity support person to smooth over this issue and pursue a resolution. Thank you.

Jfrusse_23 Thanks for reaching out about a recent scam call you got, and your billing concern. I would be happy to help in any way I can addressing both concerns.

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (speech bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it

@Jfrusse_23

If you have gotten a call claiming to be from Comcast asking you to buy gift cards or paying upfront for six months or more in exchange for 50% off your bill the FTC is well aware of this scam.  If you get a call like this you can report it to:     https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/
The FTC also has a great webpage on Scams.  Please check it out as well.
For Target Gift Cards:
Call 1 (800) 544-2943 and follow Target’s instructions.
Keep a copy of the Target gift card or your store receipt.
Please help to stop the spread of this kind of fraud.
Thanks!
